Monsanto Kicks Off "Grow Communities" Project
Using Brandstand For Mobility,
Multimedia and Data Capture
Monsanto, the worldwide leader in agricultural biotechnology,
recently launched its "America's Farmers Grow Communities"
program using Brandstand as its mobile event marketing solution.
The two "Grow Communities" Brandstands provide
Monsanto with a powerful set of branding, multimedia and interactive
features. The Brandstand was first used at the 57th Annual
Farm Progress show in Boone, Iowa. The "Grow
Communities"
Brandstands
will
then
travel to several states and dozens of events throughout the
country.
"The America’s Farmers Grow Communities campaign
will take us to a variety of events throughout the country,” explained
Kim Skinner, Community Outreach Manager at Monsanto. Brandstand
provides us tremendous flexibility, and it is a powerful branding
and marketing platform for this campaign."
Event attendees are initially drawn to the "Grow Communities"
Brandstand with audio and video running on an ultra-bright, outdoor
viewable and weatherproof 42" HDTV. People are then
encouraged to use the Brandstand's interactive
touchscreen kiosks, where users
can easily register to win money for their favorite community
charity.
Monsanto's Brandstands are equipped
with a self-contained power solution, which provides
8 hours of continuous power from high-capacity batteries
to all Brandstand accessories when access to shore power
is not available.
The mobile marketing vehicles are wrapped in Brandstand's
Rapid-Brand™ System,
which is a replaceable panel system
that makes initial configuration and re-branding effortless.
"The Brandstand team guided Monsanto and our agency through
each
step of the design process, and the ‘Grow Communities’ Brandstand
is now a critical component of our community outreach program,"
said Skinner.

"I was impressed with the knowledge
of the team and their patience in answering all our questions,"
explained Skinner. "I probably
made
a dozen phone calls and sent at least as many emails and always
received a quick response. Their expertise helped us to make
good decisions and we are thrilled with the results."
The America’s Farmers Grow Communities Project is
a program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund to support local
farming
communities. The program allows farmers to register to win
$2,500 for their favorite community charity. The program
started with 179 awards in Missouri, Arkansas and Iowa. Due
to its
success, the program expanded to 298 counties in California,
Kansas, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and
South Dakota, and is now expanding nationally to 38 states
and 1,204 counties.
Monsanto plans to use Brandstand units as part of its mobile
marketing plans for the "America's Farmers Grow Communities"
program at events throughout the country.
